Another training session with just us three.
Watch all the videos & you’ll see the speed steadily increasing
This video was taken on May 6th and features Doc, Brian, Sousou (one of our veteran competitors), and Charles (yours truly
)
Doc is still aiming at being in Japan in November to represent his homeland, Gabon (not Togo as I thought at first). Sousou has an eye on next year’s nationals in his weight class. Brian has long term international goals and works on refining his skills and endurance.
This video was taken about a month ago (I’ve got others but still editing
)
Doc is a veteran from team Gabon. He represented Gabon in Madrid in 2002, where he made quarter finals. He hopes to do better next november in Japan.
He has a very good eye, powerful punches and strong legs. Sure gave me a tough time but that’s no big feat for a world class competitor.
He’ll be in top shape in a couple months. By then I probably won’t be able to land a single point so I’m keeping this as a souvenir
I’ll be updating videos this week-end but until then, this little karate joke should help you wait
There was a young couple who lived in a town filled with crime. After three of their neighbors’ houses had been robbed, the couple decided to get a guard dog.
So the young wife went to the pet store and said, I need a good guard dog.
The clerk replied, Sorry, we’re all sold out. All we have left is this little Scottie dog. But, he does know karate.
The wife didn’t believe the clerk, so she requested for a demonstration. Clerk said to the dog, “Karate that chair”.
The dog went up to the chair and broke it into pieces. Then he said to the dog, “Karate that table”. The dog went up to the table and broke it in half.
So the wife bought the dog and took it home to her husband who was expecting a big guard dog. The husband was of course disappointed and somewhat skeptical about the Scottie dog’s abilities as a guard dog.
When she told her husband that the dog knew karate, he replied, “Ya right! Karate my @r$$!”
He will be discharged next month from the hospital.
I like this one ![]()
Vidian is a guest from Britain. He’s 16 and showing some great potential. Oudom is 25 and has won several city (Paris) medals. Brian Chow (20) is part of the club Jr team. They won the French nationals in March! :))
Brian is picking up some serious speed but still needs to work on staying focused under pressure. He has serious, and justified
ambition for individual national and international titles in the future.

Oh and there’s also Julie, JM’s daughter but she doesn’t have any gear so she’s a bit bored
